10 Things You Didn't Know About Me
So the lovely Shell from Shell La Belle tagged me to do this post where I answer ten questions set by her which will hopefully give you a better idea of who I am. I then have to set my own ten questions and tag another ten bloggers. Simples! Here are my answers and my questions for my other blogger pals....enjoy! xx.
1.How long are you blogging?
I've been blogging kind of on and off for the last two years but have really only started properly doing it in the last year. However I have to say with work being so hectic I sometimes find it hard to make the time for blogging.
2. What is your favourite shade of Lipstick?
I am all about the red lip! My fav is a red lipstick from Topshop.
3. Shoes or Handbag?
That's like picking a favourite child which I'm told is impossible!
4. What is your favourite film/TV show?
I'm a total TV and film addict. I love having a good series on the go and some of my favs have been Game of Thrones, The Wire and The Walking Dead. I also love anything trashy and reality TV so Big Brother, America's Next Top Model, Towie etc are all firm favourites of mine. I have so many fav films depending on my mood, I also love fashion documentaries. I can't recommend Advanced Style on Netflix highly enough.
5. What is your top beauty tip?
I don't really have any beauty tips but I do drink a lot of water which seems like a beauty tip.
6. What is our top 3 make up products?
Again I'm pretty low maintenance when it comes to make-up. I do love the Topshop red lipstick, Topshop cream blush in Head Over Heels and Kevyn Aucoin bronzer.
7. Where would you like to live if you won the lotto?
I'd still live in Cork but I'd also have houses in London and a little holiday place in Barcelona, Krakow and somewhere beachy. I think I need to win the Euromillions.
8. What is your dream job?
I have to say I absolutely love the job I have! Styling and personal shopping is my dream but of course I'd love to work with some major fashion house.
9. What is your favourite dessert?
Not really a major dessert person but my granny makes a dessert involving swiss role, cream and custard which is delish.
10. What camera do you use?
I use the camera in my phone a lot but also have a Nikon D3100 which my boyfriend bought me for my 30th.
Well there you go!
Now I nominate the following bloggers:
Here are your questions:
1. Did you have another blog name you were considering?
2. What's your favourite thing about blogging?
3. Heels or flats?
4.Where do you like to shop?
5. What beauty tip do you swear by?
6. Do you enjoy thrift shopping?
7. If you do outfit posts who do you normally get to take the pics?
8. What's your favourite restaurant?
9. What other blogs do you read?
10. Describe your style in five words.

Menswear Photoshoot
I used to never really be that into menswear fashion and styling preferring instead the constantly changing looks of womenswear. I think a lot of it had to do with the limited choice that the guys had available to them in our Irish stores and also because well let's face it I'm a girl and I wear women's clothes so naturally my strong interests were going to lie there. All that changed about a year and a half ago when I was asked to style a menswear shoot for The Weekend section in The Examiner and for the first time I really took notice of what was on offer for the guys out there. The high street stores on Opera Lane have really upped their menswear and of course we have an amazing selection of quality rigouts in places like Salingers and A Suit That Fits.
I was lucky enough to style a very special menswear shoot with the uber talented photographer Ricky Mangala (seriously remember this name), male model extraordinaire Nathan Adams with the fabulous Andrew Cronin from The Edge Hair Design and the lovely Emma O'Brien MUA. Our brief was to keep everything slick, modern and stylish using things like Armani campaigns as our inspiration. I sourced all the clothing from Topman and River Island and was amazed at the good quality tailoring available in both places.
Hope you like these images....Enjoy.xx.

A Very Fantastical Photoshoot
I've been a bit quiet on the blogging front recently as I've had a lot going on work wise and have been travelling up to Dublin quite a bit but I've finally managed to take a day to work from home so I've been catching up on paperwork and doing some much needed blog posts. I really wanted to share these images from a shoot I styled a little while back with an amazing team of fellow creatives. Along with designer Samantha Kennedy and photographer Simon Curran we came up with the concept of a character who transformed from being something quite simple to being almost like a woodland queen or warrior.
We started off with styling, hair and make-up being quite pared back and with each image built up the layers of the character. As always I had great fun shooting with this awesome team and I hope you enjoy our work.

MUA: Andrea Murphy
Models: Eshana Krautz and Damian Edmondson
Assistants: Gary McShane, Tasha Edmondson and Edelle Notte
Clothing and headpieces from: Molly Loves Bowie, Alice Halliday, Hazel Comyn Miss Daisy Blue and Potty But Posh

Beloved Boutique @ Focus Ireland
As some of you may know I'm a major fan of charity shop thrifting so I was super excited when I heard that Focus Ireland was opening a Beloved boutique in Douglas. Beloved is a charity shop but choc full of premium brands and the best thrift you can find focusing mainly on ladieswear with a little bit of homeware and kids clothes thrown in there for good measure. We're so lucky to have a Beloved here in Cork as there is only one other Beloved @ Focus Ireland store and that's in Malahide in Dublin.
I was asked by the good folks at Focus Ireland if I would be interested in getting involved in their grand opening which involved styling the Press Call and styling a mini fashion show with their ambassador in Cork, Miss Cork Gillian Forde and with the team at Pulse Models using only clothes available in-store. This sounded like a challenge so of course I jumped at the opportunity. I have to say a major thanks to blogger Marie Barry Murphy from The Beaut Mum who helped me backstage on the night, to Brenda Dennehy from 96FM who was an amazing host and to all the crew at Pulse and Focus Ireland who organised a great event. Here's a couple of photos from the event all taken by Michael O'Sullivan and it think the outfits totally go to show that you don't have to spend a fortune to look good.
So pop in for a spot of guilt free retail therapy and why not drop in a few bits and pieces yourself to make some room in your wardrobe!
Enjoy!!
