Denim A Spring/Summer Update

Denim, does it ever really go out of style?  It's the one thing you're guaranteed to wear throughout the year but this season it's totally at the forefront of fashion. This season denim is not just reserved for jeans you'll find it in everything from skirts, shirts to dungarees and dresses.  I've been wearing these Mom fit jeans I picked up in H&M in Barcelona to death, they are so comfy and go with absolutely everything.  I just threw on my bright pink GAP jacket in this pic to keep myself warm while adding a pop of colour.  You may notice my dog Sadie was trying to get in on the selfie action.

Here's a few more of my favourite denim looks to inspire your Summer denim dressing.

This is a look I styled for a fashion show recently, I love the crisp white jeans paired with this River Island jacket.

Dungarees, chiffon blouse and a classic trench is such perfection. Trust Alexa to come up with this outfit.

Absolute outfit swoon, Olivia Palermo does double denim to perfection.

This street styler makes denim cutoffs look super grown up.

I adore this combination of leopard print and denim.

This look from eatsleepdenim.com is too cute!!

From the laid back super cute dungarees to the sleek double denim and leopard print there really is something for everyone no matter what your street style.

The Edge Customer Evening

It's been absolutely ages since I've even attempted to do any blogging, what with the madness of December and being totally swamped with different jobs the last thing on my mind was sitting down in front of the computer.  I've finally managed to get myself organised this January and I'm trying to set aside some time to putting stuff up on the blog etc.  I have a whole batch of pictures from last year that I never got to share so I'm going to pop them up in the coming days.

First up is an event I style for The Edge Hair Design which is an amazing salon in Cork where I also happen to get my hair and brows done.  This was their customer evening so I chose really party wear looks for men and women to go with the sleek hair looks the guys in the salon had created.  Here's a few pics from the event.

Hair: The Edge hair Salon

My Chicks Have Flown The Nest

Another set of my students have completed their course in Personal Shopping and Styling with me and like a proud Irish Mammy I have to share their final projects with you.  The girls came up with the concept and styled their own shoots and I think you'll agree they are pretty awesome!!

I love how different both girl's shoots were with Lijana opting for a real edgy street wear and modern vibe while Sinead with a more vintage feel with a gorgeous 1920's inspired look.

Enjoy!

Yin & Yang

I just came across these images from a shoot I styled a while back with a fantastic team.  I had forgotten about the shoot so it was a lovely surprise to find them again.  I particularly loved that all the clothing and accessories are from local designers and stores.

Hope you like them too....

Have a lovely rest of weekend everyone!

Amazing Grace

I've been mad busy the last few weeks so I feel like I haven't posted anything in ages and that's probably because I haven't!!  I've been doing some really interesting shoots of late and so I have loads of cool pics waiting to be uploaded.  Here's one that I did not so long ago with the beautiful Grace Gray from Lockdown Models and the super talented snapper Kestutis Anuzis .  This shoot was pulled together at the last minute but everything just worked brilliantly together from the gorgeous pieces from Miss Daisy Blue to the locations that we scouted just by strolling around town together.

Hope you like them.....

To The Manor Born

I just wanted to share a couple of images from a really gorgeous shoot I styled a few weeks back in the amazing surroundings of Hayfield Manor.

Vivienne from Lockdown Models and myself spent a while thinking of the correct way to bring our concept to life and drew inspiration from the idea of a really glamorous slinky slip with maybe a mens tweed jacket thrown over it.  Contrasts like that were key so we also used things like soft chunky knits, slip dresses and mens shirts to create a sexy but stylish look.

Add to that the beautiful make up from the fantastic Kate Noonan and the photography of Kest at Anuzis Photography and I knew that we would end up with some awesome images.  I picked some beautiful pieces from Miss Daisy Blue, including a 1930's Friedricks of Hollywood black slip, Mercury Goes Retrograde and Gap on Opera Lane.

Hope you love these images as much as I do!

Toodles,

T.
