Holiday Style @TV3

Last Sunday I was at TV3 for one of my regular styling slots on the Sunday AM show which featured all your holiday packing essentials from Opera Lane.  We only spend about two weeks a year on our summer hols (if we're lucky) so I styled looks that could be adapted for home and away, for beach holiday and chic city break to make the most of your summer wardrobe.

Relaxed Brunch Styles @TV3

I've got quite a few blog posts to catch up on but I thought I'd start with some of my recent styling work on TV3's Sunday AM show.  I'm a big fan of catch ups with friends over brunch so I based these six looks from Opera Lane on smart casual day time dates.  I really struggled not to go out and buy all of these looks especially the gingham top from Topshop and the high waist chino trousers from Next.

Denim Delights at TV3

Last Saturday I was back at TV3 styling some of Springs hottest denim trends for Opera Lane.  Denim is something that I love to style as it's such a great base for lots of great colours and prints especially the yellows and blush pinks which are every where this season and go perfectly with modern stripes and leopard print.
Here's a few pics from the show!

All prepped and ready for show time.

It's essential you get your picture taken in front of the TV3 wall....obviously.

A Most Fashionable Week

I've been seriously busy lately so unfortunately the blogging has taken a little bit of a back seat but I'm trying to make more of an effort to schedule in some time to do it.  Last week was a serious fashion week here in Cork what with it being MSL Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week Cork and I headed along to two pretty amazing shows.  On Wednesday the fashion crowd headed to Ballymaloe for the Irish design show and fashion awards.  Yours truly had the honour of being nominated for stylist of the year though I ended up losing out to stylist Irene O' Brien so even though I was disappointed I felt I had lost to a deserving winner so it was all good!

On Saturday I was in complete work mode as fellow stylist Sarah Corcoran and I were styling the Cork Style show which was a celebration of all things stylish in Cork from boutiques, high street brands and designers.  The night was a huge success and major congratulations have to go to two inspiring ladies Emer and Vivienne from Lockdown Models who as per usual did an amazing job of pulling the whole week together.

Here's a few pics of the Opera Lane collection that I styled:

Menswear Photoshoot

I used to never really be that into menswear fashion and styling preferring instead the constantly changing looks of womenswear.  I think a lot of it had to do with the limited choice that the guys had available to them in our Irish stores and also because well let's face it I'm a girl and I wear women's clothes so naturally my strong interests were going to lie there.  All that changed about a year and a half ago when I was asked to style a menswear shoot for The Weekend section in The Examiner and for the first time I really took notice of what was on offer for the guys out there.  The high street stores on Opera Lane have really upped their menswear and of course we have an amazing selection of quality rigouts in places like Salingers and A Suit That Fits.

I was lucky enough to style a very special menswear shoot with the uber talented photographer Ricky Mangala (seriously remember this name), male model extraordinaire Nathan Adams with the fabulous Andrew Cronin from The Edge Hair Design and the lovely Emma O'Brien MUA.  Our brief was to keep everything slick, modern and stylish using things like Armani campaigns as our inspiration.  I sourced all the clothing from Topman and River Island and was amazed at the good quality tailoring available in both places.

Hope you like these images....Enjoy.xx.
